CM Punk, Justin Long to Star in Horror Movie Night Patrol

Justin Long, Jermaine Fowler and RJ Cyler are starring in Night Patrol, an indie horror feature from straightforwardor and co-authorr Ryan Prows.

David S. Goyer and Keith Levine are producing via the duo’s Phantom Four banner. Also producing is Josh Gancigo inbloom, understandn for the recent V/H/S horror entries. James Harris and Mark Lane of Tea Shop Films (47 Meters Down) are also producing the movie, which wrapped principal pboilingography in Los Angeles this week.

Dermot Mulroney and WWE superstar CM Punk have key roles, while Freddie Gibbs (Down With The King), YG (White Boy Rick), Flying Lotus (Ash) Jon Oswald (Lowlife) and Nicki Micheaux (Lowlife) round out the cast.

In Patrol, an LAPD officer (Fowler) must put aside his contrastences with the area’s street gangs when he discovers a local police task force is haruninalertigent a horrific secret that finishangers the dwellnts of the housing projects he grew up in.

Long joins the officer’s partner, recruited as a legacy into night patrol. Cyler stars as the officer’s brother, who sees what he isn’t supposed to see, while Mulroney joins Long’s character’s magnificentoverweighther, a sergeant with many secrets. Punk rounds out the cast as the sergeant’s brutal right-hand man.

Prows wrote the script with Shaye Ogbonna (Fight Night), Tim Cairo (Off Ramp) and Jake Gibson (He Bled Neon). The foursome previously collaborated on the script for Prows’ straightforwardorial debut, Lowlife, freed by IFC Midnight in 2018. Patrol is Prows’ second feature.

The film is eyeing a 2025 free.

XYZ Films is executive producing and handling world sales, with Bondit Media Capital financing. Executive producing for Bondit are Matthew Helderman, Luke Taylor and Grady Craig.

Fowler recently co-starred in FX’s A Murder at the End of the World and ecombineed aextfinishedside Zac Efron in the Prime comedy Ricky Stanicky. He is repped by UTA and Entertainment 360.

Long recently starred in horror-tinged series Goosebumps for Disney+ and is repped by IAG.

Cyler’s recent screen acunderstandledges include The Book of Clarence and The Harder They Fall. The actor is repped by UTA and Entertainment 360.

Mulroney, repped by Paradigm, recently ecombineed in Scream VI as well as Marvel’s Secret Invasion and earlier this year did a stint on Chicago Fire.  

Punk is one of the hugegest names in wrestling, with his “feud” with fellow fighter Drew McIntyre being a huge storyline on the circuit this year. He made his acting debut with Girl on the Third Floor in 2019. Punk is repped by Paradigm.
