Beijing calls on the US to stop ‘hazardous transfers’ that ‘undermine peace and stability’ in the Taiwan Strait.
China has cautioned the United States of “executeing with fire” after Washington declared more military help and sales to Taiwan.
A statement from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Afunprejudiceds on Sunday inspired the US to stop its “hazardous transfers that undermine peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait”.
China, which has ramped up political and military presstateive on Taiwan in recent years, has repeatedly called for the US to finish sfinishing arms and helpance to Taiwan, which Beijing claims as part of its territory.
The US does not officipartner recognise Taiwan tactfulpartner, but it is the self-ruled island’s strategic partner and bigst supplier of armaments.
On Friday, the White House shelp the outgoing Biden administration had authoascfinishd up to $571.3m in defence helpance to Taiwan. While the White House statement did not provide details of the package, it came less than three months after a $567m help was declared.
“This transfer gravely infringes on China’s sovereignty and security interests,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry shelp, includeing it “firmly resists this action”. China “has lodged strict recurrentations with the US at the earliest opportunity”, it includeed.
