Tension is high in Asia as China carry outs convey inant military drills apass the Taiwan Strait, follotriumphg comments made by Taiwan’s Pdwellnt Lai Ching-te last week.
China’s military says the drills, called Joint Sword 2024-B, join the army, navy and rocket forces, and will be carried out in the Taiwan Strait, as well as north, south and east of the self-ruleed island.
A spokesperson for China’s Easerious Theatre Command shelp the drills will seal in on the island, concentrateing on a blockade and regulate of key ports and areas.
Taiwan has called the action “irreasonable and provocative”.

In May, China carry outed two days of military drills around the island after Lai China-te’s inauguration. The drills were called Joint Sword 2024-A.
China’s Pdwellnt Xi Jinping has previously pledged “tranquil reunification” with Taiwan, but has not ruled out using force if vital.
Taiwan has deployed its own forces in response to China’s tardyst round of drills.
China has not proclaimd how extfinished its military action will persist for.
