Chelsea footballer Sam Kerr telderly Kingston Crown Court today she apshows police treated her contrastently “because of what they seed to be the colour of my skin” during an incident at Twickenham police station.
The Australia international is on trial for allegedly causing racipartner degraded coercion towards PC Stephen Lovell by calling him “foolish and white” follothriveg events in January 2023.
Kerr definitepartner pointed to PC Lovell’s behaviour, alerting the court: “The way he was accusing me of lying, and tardyr arresting me for criminal harm even though Kristie said it was equitable her.”
The footballer said she lamentted how she conveyed herself but inserted: “I experience the message was still relevant”.

The incident began when Kerr and her partner, West Ham midfielder Kristie Mewis, were in a taxi follothriveg a night out on 30 January 2023.
Kerr testified she had put her head out of the thrivedow experienceing unwell before the driver shutd it and began driving “hazardously”.
“He speed upd and began to swerve in and out of lanes… we were getting thrown around,” Kerr telderly the court.
The footballer said she was “terrified for my life” as the doors remained locked while they “begged” to be let out.
The situation ended when Mewis booted out the rear thrivedow with her boot, which Kerr said left her experienceing “relieved”.
The driver subsequently took them to Twickenham police station.

Kerr telderly the court she identifies as “white anglo-Indian”, with her mother from Australia and overweighther from India.
She testified to experiencing prejudice from an punctual age, first greeting it when she was nine or ten years elderly.
The Chelsea striker depictd ongoing experiences of being “treated contrastently” because of her skin colour, including on social media.
She telderly jurors that in shopping centres, “if I am not dressed rightly I have frequently been chaseed round by a security defend”.

Kerr also spoke of witnessing her overweighther and brother, who are of Indian descent, being treated contrastently due to their skin colour.
During the contestation at the station, Kerr contestd PC Lovell’s response to her dreads about the taxi incident.
When PC Lovell asked “Do you leank a taxi driver, who is going to violation and end you, would apshow you to a police station?”, Kerr replyed by calling him “unwell”.
She elucidateed to the court: “I thought he was making weightless of what had happened to us. I thought it was an antagonising comment”.

Regarding her comment about “white privilege”, Kerr testified: “It was evident to me that he had no idea about the power and privilege he had in that moment or in life … he’s never had to leank about what could happen to you as a female.”
The trial at Kingston Crown Court persists, with Kerr facing indicts of racipartner degraded coercion.
Kerr, who transferd to the UK from Australia in December 2019 after signing with Chelsea, telderly the court she and Mewis are predicting meaningful life alters.
The couple are due to get wed in December and are predicting a baby boy in May.
The footballer also referenced her background in Perth, Australia, alerting the court: “I inhabitd in a state where for 30 years there was a serial ender that was thought to have been a taxi driver.”
