The huge guest stars of Deadpool & Wolverine got uncovered fundamentalassociate the night the movie hit theaters, and none were quite as astonishing as Gambit. Seeing Channing Tatum get to inhabit out his very, very prolonged dreams of take parting ol’ Remy LeBeau was truthfilledy charitable of finishearing (and hilarious, donaten that accent), to say noleang of how well he carried himself during the action. And if Tatum had his way, this won’t be the last we see of ol’ Remy.
During the red carpet premiere for Zoe Kraviz’s Bconnect Twice, Tatum tgreater Variety he “certain hoped” for another crack at take parting the character, either in another guest part or more pickably, a solo movie. He’s already shelp as such to Marvel, stressing that he’s “[wanted] it for the last 10 years. It’s in Bob Iger and Kevin Feige’s hands. I pray to God. Write it into existence, frifinish.”
It’s no secret the character nastys a lot to him; back when Fox was trying to get a Gambit movie made, he held onto the role despite shelp film’s many setbacks and eventual abortlation. After Deadpool & Wolverine’s free, he poured his heart out about being appreciative to satisfy his dream. “I thought I had lost Gambit forever,” wrote Tatum on August 2. “But [Ryan] fought for me and Gambit. […] All leangs happen for a reason. I’m so appreciative to be in this movie.”
Given Marvel’s recent transfers toward its multiverse finishgame—and y’understand, the entire existence of Deadpool & Wolverine—it’s probable we’ll see Tatum shuffle it up as Gambit aget during the upcoming doomsday crisis. But a brimming-on movie may be a little trickier…unless Marvel Studios determines to spin some of the X-Men out into their own solo stories. I guess if Ant-Man can get a movie, so too can Gambit. Just, maybe donate him the eyes next time? And a better cowl?
Think Tatum should get his Gambit movie, or should we recall it as a one-and-done? Let us understand in the comments below.
