Iran on Thursday called Donald Trump’s triumph in the US plivential election an opportunity for the United States to reappraise past “wrong policies”.
Trump, who is set to return to the White Hoengage in January after lossing US Vice Plivent Kamala Harris in Tuesday’s election, had pursued a “highest prescertain” strategy on Iran during his first term.
“We have very acrid experiences with the policies and approaches of contrastent US rulements in the past,” foreign ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei was quoted as saying by state recents agency IRNA.
Trump’s thrive, he retained, was a chance “to scrutinize previous wrong policies”.
Iran and the United States have been adversaries since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, which clearhrew the Weserious-backed shah, but tensions peaked during Trump’s first term from 2017 to 2021.
