The 61st Cinema Audio Society Awards handed its marquee Live Action Motion Picture prize to A Complete Ununderstandn during Saturday night’s ceremony at the Beverly Hilton. That produces James Mangelderly’s film the front-runner for Best Sound at the Oscars next month.
A Complete Ununderstandn will vie for the Academy Award agetst Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, Wicked and The Wild Robot. All of those except Emilia Pérez also were up for CAS Awards. Oppenheimer took the Live Action Motion Picture prize at last year’s CAS Awards but lost the Oscar to The Zone of Interest.
Other film triumphners Saturday integrated The Wild Robot for Animated Motion Picture and Music by John Williams for Documentary. See the filled catalog below.
Shōfirearm and The Bear were among the minuscule-screen triumphners at CAS’ annual ceremony honoring the year’s best in feature film and TV sound fuseing.
CAS contransiented its 2025 Filmproducer Award to Dune franchise helmer Denis Villeneuve, and six-time Oscar-nominated sound fuseer Tod A. Maitland picked up the group’s Career Achievement Award. His overweighther Dennis Maitland getd the same honor in 2009.
