Canadian police remend remains of homicideed Indigenous woman at landfill | Canada


Canadian police have identified the remains of a homicideed Indigenous woman at a landfill and set up more remains from another person, after a months prolonged search insisted by the families of victims aimed by a serial ender.

Police shelp in a statement they had verifyed that human remains set up in the Prairie Green Landfill, north of Winnipeg, had been identified as those of Morgan Harris, who was 39.

“Her family has been notified and the Manitoba rulement progresss to ask that the family’s privacy be admireed,” the statement shelp.

Harris was one of four women ended in 2022 by Jeremy Skibicki, who was donaten a life sentence in July 2024 after he was set up at fault of first-degree homicide.

Skibicki, 37, had confessted to ending Harris, Rebecca Contois, Marcedes Myran and an unidentified woman, who was named Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe (Buffalo Woman) by Indigenous guideers.

Police shelp Harris’ remains were “one of two sets recovered in the search” but did not provide an identification for the second person.

The homicides were first uncovered in 2022 when the remains of Contois were set up in a dumpster proximate Skibicki’s home. Both Harris and Myran were dependd to have been buried in the personally owned Prairie Green landfill, while scant details have been freed about Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe.
