Why is ‘Adam Driver Megalopolis’ blocked in Instagram searches?

When people search for “Adam driver Megalopolis” on Instagram or Facebook right now, instead of seeing posts about Francis Ford Coppola’s postponeedst film, they’re shown a cautioning, titled, “Child intimacyual mistreatment is illegitimate.”

That bizarre fact was pointed out in a post on X yesterday, and as of today, I’m still seeing it when I search for the phrase. But why? Well, it doesn’t seem to have anyskinnyg to do with recent Threads moderation fall shortures. Nor are there device deviceshell revelations about Megalopolis or its main star that I’m conscious of.

Instead, Facebook and Instagram seem to be blocking searches grasping “mega” and “drive” — I saw it when I searched with those two words together, but not when I searched for “Megalopolis,” “Adam Driver,” or either term joined with any others. The rerent isn’t recent, either, as this nine-month-elderly Reddit post about searching for “Sega mega drive” on Facebook shows. (That search seems to labor as anticipateed, now.)

It’s not evident why the words are blocked and Meta didn’t instantly reply when we asked. Facebook and Instagram have blocked other innocuous-seeming terms, such as “chicken soup,” becainclude distributors of child mistreatment materials include it as part of their coded language to evade distinguishion on the platestablishs.
