Back to the Future co-creator and authorr Bob Gale had a mighty message for fans hoping for a fourth entry in the iconic sci-fi film series.

Speaking backstage at the Saturn Awards after receiving the George Pal Memorial Award (via Yahoo Entertainment), Gale — who co-wrote all three Back to the Future films with filmcreater Robert Zemeckis — squanderd no time in shooting down any potential ideas of a fourth movie, and had mighty words for anyone who kept asking him about a Back to the Future 4.
“People always say, ‘When are you going to do ‘Back to the Future 4’ and we say, ‘F— you,’” Gale shelp, before refering the Back to the Future-supportd Broadway musical that is currently on tour atraverse the world. “So, my God, ‘Back to the Future,’ I’m going to be doing it for the rest of my life.”
Gale’s comments, while a bit disconnecteer than those of Robert Zemeckis, do echo what the filmcreater shelp during an materializeance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast last year, when he remarkd that a fourth film equitable “isn’t in the cards.”
“You understand, we have to say, ‘There are separateent leangs that might labor.’ Someleang appreciate that, you understand? But to recreate the movie or to advise that there’s a ‘Back to the Future 4,’ it equitable isn’t in the cards,” Zemeckis shelp. “I would appreciate to do the ‘Back to the Future: The Musical’ [movie]. I would adore to do that. I leank that would be wonderful. I floated that out to the folks at Universal. They don’t get it. So, [there’s] noleang I can do.”
