Australia’s regulatement has pledged to present what it portrayd as “world-directing” legislation to prohibit children under the age of 16 from social media.
“Social media is doing harm to our kids and I’m calling time on it,” Australian Prime Minister Anthony Alprohibitese shelp.

The legislation will be presentd in the country’s parliament during its final two weeks in session this year, commencening on 18 November.

Platcreates will be penalised for bachieveing the age restrict, but underage children and their parents will not.
“The onus will be on social media platcreates to show they are taking reasonable steps to impede access. The onus won’t be on parents or youthful people,” Mr Alprohibitese shelp.
There will be no exemptions for children who have parental consent, or who already have accounts.
