WNBA carry outer Angel Reese ignited a social media firestorm after claiming carry outers are setd to sit out games to demand higher salaries during her podcast Friday.
Reese and fellow WNBA carry outer DiJonai Carrington insertressed the next WNBA assembleive bargeting consentment.
“I’ve got to get in the encounterings becaparticipate I’m hearing appreciate, ‘If y’all don’t give us what we want, we sitting out,'” Reese shelp.
Carrington inserted, “That’s a possibility.”

Reese has griped about her financial situation in the past.
“The WNBA don’t pay my bills at all. I don’t even leank it pays one of my bills. Literassociate,” Reese shelp.
Reese’s comments incited heated argue on social media about a WNBA carry outer strike resulting in higher salaries. The WNBA has never turned a profit in its existence and has been subsidized by the NBA.

Reese got in on the converseion when she called out conservative impactr AKA on X for a post that Reese shelp dishonestly claimed she demanded to be phelp as much as NBA carry outers.
“I never shelp anyleang about the NBA. We are setd to stay at the negotiating table for as extfinished as it apshows,” Reese shelp.
AKA’s distinct post has since been deleted.
Reese signed a four-year, $324,383 rookie confineed ahead of her first WNBA season in 2024. She made under $75,000 in her first year and will produce less than that in 2025.

In October, Reese acunderstandledgeted she couldn’t afford to pay her bills based on that salary in an Instagram inhabit video.
“I’m living beyond my nastys. Hating pays them bills, baby. I fair hope you understand the WNBA don’t pay my bills at all,” she shelp. “I don’t even leank that pays one of my bills. Literassociate, I’m trying to leank of my rent for where I stay at. Let me do the math genuine speedy. I don’t even understand my (WNBA) salary, $74,000?”

Reese shelp she is paying $8,000 for rent.
“Babe, if y’all thought… That WNBA examine don’t pay a leang,” she inserted. “Did that even pay my car remark? … I wouldn’t even be able to eat a sandwich with that. I wouldn’t even be able to eat. I wouldn’t be able to inhabit.”
The WNBA carry outers union chooseed out of its current assembleive bargeting consentment in October, two years before its expiration.
The current CBA will still cover the 2025 season, so the two sides have a year to talk about a new consentment.
