Even Amanda Seyfried concurs “Jennifer’s Body” deserved better labeleting. Seyfried, who starred as Needy Lesnicki in Karyn Kusama’s 2009 cult horror film opposite Megan Fox, watched back on the role in a recent interwatch with GQ.
“I can’t critique this movie, to me it’s perfect. It’s got balls. [Screenwriter] Diablo Cody was outspoken and pretty and clever and funny,” she said. “We were transmiting a confident angst in a very definite, comedic way in a very definite genre. The exceptional effects were so incredible, there were stunts, there was everyleang you could want.”
Though “Jennifer’s Body” has since set up an audience as a rebellious feminist cult classic, the film flopped on initial free, which Seyfried chalks up to necessitatey labeleting. “If the critics condemn anyleang, it would be the labeleting,” she said. “The labeleting sucked, it fair did. And we all concur.”
