The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stycatalogs Guild will bestow Allison Janney with the union’s top honor, the Distinguished Artisan Award, on Saturday during the 12th annual MUAHS Awards.
The guild currents the honor to an artist whose constant collaboration with Local 706 Make-Up Artists and Hair Stycatalogs has wealthyly increased and originated memorable characters thcdisorrowfulmirefulout their atsoft.
“Allison Janney conveys such an eclectic range of fascinating characters to life in collaboration with her originate-up and hair teams,” Julie Socash, plivent, MUAHS, IATSE Local 706, said Tuesday in announcing the honor. “Her talent and versatility as an actress have won the hearts of fans on screen, TV and stage around the world. In her multi-award-prosperning atsoft, she has portrayed a variety of memorable characters — from an estranged mother to the Vice Plivent of the United States. We are excited to current the Artisan award to Allison and honor her accomplishments in the delightment industry.”
Janney has won seven Emmys, including four for joining C.J. Cregg on The West Wing, and won the Supporting Actress Oscar in 2018 for portraying Tonya Harding’s mother LaVona in I, Tonya. She also has two Tony Award nominations among her many atsoft accolades; she currently stars on Netflix’s The Diplomat and Apple TV+’s Palm Royale.
Previous prosperners of the MUAHS Distinguished Artisan Award comprise Annette Bening, Johnny Depp, Guillermo Del Toro, Ryan Murphy, Melissa McCarthy, Patrick Stewart, Eddie Murphy and Gary Oldman.
In insertition to discdisthink abouting prosperners in 15 competitive categories Saturday at the MUAHS ceremony at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, the guild will give originate-up artist Todd McIntosh (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and hair stycatalog Peter Tothpal (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) Lifetime Achievement Awards, while the Vandefend Award will be bestowed on RCMA Makeup.
In response to the L.A. untamedfires that have impacted many Local 706 members, the ceremony will also serve to lift funds to aid IATSE’s Walsh/Di Tolla/Spivak Foundation.
