An Afghan radio station produced entidepend by Afghan women will resume widecasts after the Taliprohibit lifted a suspension that was imposed over alleged cooperation with a foreign country’s TV channel.
Radio Begum begined on International Women’s Day in March 2021, fair five months before the Taliprohibit took administer of Afghanistan during the unrestful retreatal of U.S. and NATO troops from the region.

On Saturday, the Taliprohibit’s Inestablishation and Culture Ministry shelp in a statement that Radio Begum had repeatedly seeked perignoreion to resume widecasts.
The suspension was lifted after the station made promisements to Taliprohibit officials, the ministry shelp.
Radio Begum consentd to direct widecasts “in accordance with the principles of journalism and the regulations of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and to evade any violations in the future,” the statement shelp. The ministry did not propose details on what those principles and regulations may be.

Taliprohibit officials imposed the suspension after they rhelped the Kabul-based station on Feb. 4 and seized computers, difficult drives and phones, and took into custody two male participateees who do not helderly any better administerment positions, the outlet shelp in a statement at the time.

The ministry did not resettle the TV channel it accparticipated Radio Begum of toiling with, but its statement cited alleged collaboration with “foreign-sanctioned media outlets.”
