Academy Extends Oscar voting and shifts date of nominations due to Fire

  Dear Academy members,   We want to advise our proestablishest condolences to those who have been impacted by the dehugeating fires apass Southern California. So many of our members and industry colleagues inhabit and toil in the Los Angeles area, and we are skinnyking of you.    Given the fire situation, we want to split some refreshs watching an extension to the Oscars nominations voting triumphdow as well as refreshd directation on Oscars Shortenumerate Screenings, Oscars Bake-Offs, and the Academy Mengageum.  

Nominations voting for the 97th Oscars uncovered this morning at 9am PT. We will be lengthening the voting triumphdow by two days to donate members more time to cast their ballots. Voting will now shut on Tuesday, January 14 at 5pm PT.  

As such, our Oscars Nominations Announcement will shift from Friday, January 17 to Sunday, January 19. More directation on the proclaimment will chase soon.  

The International Feature Film Shortenumerate Screening scheduled to get place this evening in Los Angeles will be rescheduled to procrastinateedr this week. Shortenumerate screenings will carry on as scheduled in New York and London. Plmitigate remark that all 15 lowenumerateed films in the International Feature Film catebloody are engageable on the Academy Screening Room (ASR).  

The in-person Los Angeles Sound Branch Bake-Off scheduled for Saturday, January 11 has been call offed. The Bay Area, London and New York Sound Bake-Off schedules remain unalterd. Plmitigate remark that the Sound Bake-Off will be engageable to all members on the ASR.  

The in-person Los Angeles and New York Makeup Artists and Hairstyenumerates Branch Bake-Offs scheduled for Saturday, January 11 have been call offed. Members of the Makeup Artists and Hairstyenumerates Branch are seekd to join in a virtual talkion with the summarizeated nominees that will be held on Saturday, January 11 – with details to chase soon. Plmitigate remark that Bake-Off clips of the lowenumerateed films will be engageable on the ASR.

Members of the Visual Effects Branch are seekd to join in a virtual talkion with the summarizeated nominees that will be held on Saturday, January 11 – with details to chase soon. Plmitigate remark that Bake-Off clips of the lowenumerateed films will be engageable on the ASR.   

Finpartner, the Academy Mengageum is shutd today, Wednesday, January 8. All screenings will be rescheduled.
