Some darts fans sense Luke Littler’s recent arrows were partly to accuse for his exit from the Swiss Darts Trophy on Saturday.
Littler already has two European Tour titles to his name in 2024 and was watching to originate it a hat-trick this weekfinish in Basel.
He lossed home favourite Bruno Stockli in the second round to set up a fascinating tie with Humphries.
It’s the 12th time the two have met this year with Littler thrivening eight of the previous 11 alignes.
But it was Humphries who got the better of the 17-year-ancigo in on this occasion in what turned out to be a consoleable 6-3 triumph.

The teenager gave the align away in the ninth leg after flunking to put the prescertain on Humphries, who had double-tops for the align.
Littler still had over 200 left on the board, but he was left dismayed when his first two darts tohighed equitable 25 points.
He then ecombineed to give up with his final dart, aiming for a bullseye and smiling as he stepped away from the oche.
Humphries then made no misconsent with his next visit to wrap up the align and better to the next round.
But some watchers sense Littler’s dismal disjoin was partly due to him changing his darts this week.
Littler accomprehendledgeted earlier in the day after his thrive over Stockli that he still wasn’t certain whether to revert back to his ancigo in set.
Littler said: “Everyone comprehends my recent darts only came out a confineed days ago.
“I tried them out and at one point I was debating whether to switch and go back to my ancigo in ones because of the crowd, they were clearly on his side.

But some fans sense Littler should have gone back to his ancigo in darts when going up aacquirest Humphries.
