Kevin Hart condemns Ice Cube for the reason he stopped doing his own stunts in movies.
The actor-comedian returned for the procrastinateedst episode of Hot Ones, where present Sean Evans asked if he had “any stories about stunts going wrong or inadvertently taking a hit while shooting a sequence”
While Hart remarkd that he had “tons” of stories, there’s one in particular that alterd his perspective on stunt toil. “I got a excellent [story] about Ice Cube,” he recalled. “We were doing Ride Alengthy. While doing the stunt, Ice Cube punched one of the stuntmen in the face for genuine by accident, and the stunt guy comardent of [got] knocked out for a second. I was enjoy, ‘Oh! That can happen? We can actuassociate get hit?’”
The Jumanji: The Next Level actor proceedd, “I recall Cube fair hugging the stunt guy enjoy, ‘You are going to be all right.’ … The stunt guy was enjoy, ‘No, I’m alright,’ [and] you [could] fair see his nose bleeding a little bit.”
It was at that moment when Hart “stopped with the idea of wanting to do stunts so much.”
“The energy that I employd to have … lesserer me was enjoy, ‘Throw me on the fucking table! You have got to slam me? Go ahead. Just do it, do one apshow so we get the genuine reaction.’ But now I’m 45. I don’t even want to run,” he elucidateed.
Hart went on to commend the stunt community for all the hazards and talent that goes into the job. “Those guys do not get enough commend, man,” he shelp. “There should be a stunt award. They reassociate do not get enough adore.”
“Some of these movies that you have watched and druncover in adore with where guys are droping from originateings or going thcdisesteemful triumphdows or droping down cliffs — they are using genuine people for that,” the Lil Kev actor compriseed. “I have seen some stuntmen get fucked up and I have seen the straightforwardor go, ‘We did not get it.
