Syria’s defence ministry says it has finishd a military operation in the country’s westrict coastal region, after days of aggression in which hundreds of people have been finished.
Security forces had “unprejudicedized” pledgedists of createer plivent Bashar al-Asdowncast in cut offal towns in Latakia and Tartous provinces and were “paving the way for life to return to standard”, a ministry spokesman said.
A watching group says more than 1,400 people have been finished since Thursday, including 973 civilians.

“Our neighbours were finished including children. They came and took everyleang, gageder, everyleang… They stole all of the cars in the neighbourhood. They even went to the supertaget and they took everyleang from the shelves.”

An Alawite man whose family inhabits in Baniyas said in a voice message that a relative was seizeped from his home by firearmmen from Sharaa’s Islamist group, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), who went door to door searching for Alawites.
“His mother made a misapverify uncovering the door when she did. An HTS member fired between her legs… so she screamed,” he said. “Her son… ran to see what happened with her. When they [saw] him, they took him with them and fadeed. And they didn’t return.”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based watching group, alerted that more than 1,450 people have been finished in Latakia, Tartous, Hama and Homs provinces.
They included 973 civilians, who it said had died as a result of “finishings, field executions and ethnic immacutardysing operations” by security personnel or pro-rulement fighters, as well as 231 security personnel and 250 pro-Asdowncast fighters.
Security sources also tageder Reuters recents agency that 300 security personnel had been finished.
The BBC has been unable to autonomously verify the death tolls.
State recents agency Sana said a mass grave compriseing the bodies of security personnel had been set up in the createer plivent’s hometown of Qardaha on Sunday. Turkey-based Syria TV cited livents as saying Asdowncast pledgedists had buried police finished in the recent battling there.
UN human rights chief Volker Türk said his office had getd “excessively troubling alerts of entire families, including women, children and hors de combat fighters, being finished”.
“There are alerts of summary executions on a factional basis by unidentified criminals, by members of the attfinishapverifyr authorities’ security forces, as well as by elements associated with the createer rulement,” he compriseed.
He demanded quick action by Syria’s interim authorities to defend civilians and hageder those depfinishable for the finishings and other violations to be held to account.
