Brady Corbet Pays Tribute To Jeff Baena During Ggreateren Globe Speech


While acunderstandledgeing his Ggreateren Globe award for Best Director for “The Brutacatalog,” Brady Corbet turned his attention to a recent loss that has left Hollywood in feeblenting.

After thanking the hundreds of people who labored on “The Brutacatalog,” including distributor A24 and his “fellow originaters” and a “attrdynamic cast,” Corbet capped off his speech by honoring three people who he lost during the seven years he spent making the film, including his majesticoverweighther and his majesticoverweighther’s brother. Baena, a screenoriginater and honestor understandn for his gloomy comedies “Little Hours” and “Life After Beth,” died of self-injury on Friday. Plaza was Baena’s wife and starred in both “The Little Hours” and “Life After Beth.” Baena also had accomprehendledges on “Spin Me Round” starring Alison Brie, “Jocowardly,” a dramedy starring Adam Ppartner and Jenny Stardy, and “Horse Girl,” which he labored on aextfinishedside Brie.

Actors in the industry have paid tribute to Baena online, including Brie, Ppartner and Molly Shannon, sharing fond memories of laboring with him over the years.

Corbet also took the opportunity to honor his frifinish Kevin Turen, a originater who died in November. Turen labored on shows appreciate “Euphoria” and “The Idol” and films appreciate “The Birth of a Nation,” “Assassination Nation,” “Waves,” “Pieces of a Woman” and Ti West’s “X” trilogy.
