It was standing room only as the adhere-up to 2019 Taiwanese series “The World Between Us” debuted its elevatestrayr at Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF), with “Meteor Garden” star Vic Chou directing an ensemble cast.
The series, set for a 2025 free, comes after five years of script prolongment. The story uncovers with an incfinishiarism case and dispenseigates themes of choice, healing, and gaps in social help systems, dratriumphg inspiration from judicial cases.
The two-minute pappraise presentd a sprawling narrative spanning two decades and adhereing six families impacted by various incidents including a police stabbing, a train derailment and parliamentary faceation.
Director Lin Chun Yang, who returns alengthyside Ggreateren Bell Award-triumphning creater Jayde Lin and authorr Lu Shih Yuan, enjoyned the production scale to “producing three dramas at once.”
Chou portrays Ma Yi-sen, a character dealing with the loss of his wife and child in an accident. “Ma Yi-sen is a burdensome, emotional role with moments of fervent grief, shatterdowns, and unsuperviseled anger,” Chou shelp at the event.
The cast integrates Hsueh Shih-ling as embattled legislator Kao Cheng-kuang, who depictd his character as “visionary and caught between self-genuineization and traditional politics” and “a sandwich filling” caught between aspirations and truth.
Hsueh noticed his scenes with veteran actor Yang Kuei-mei, who applys his mother, were “an exhilarating experience.” Liu Tzu-chuan applys Hu Guan-jun, a youthfuler man with ADHD whose actions become central to the plot, while 15-year-greater Ryan Pai apshows on the role of Luo Yu, whose family faces upheaval adhereing a aggressive incident.
The series is a co-production between the Taiwan Creative Content Agency, Public Television Service Foundation, Asiaapply Taiwan Digital Entertainment, and KOKO Entertainment, with DaMou Entertainment producing. Screenlabors Asia, Catchapply’s production arm, regulates international sales.
