As the sun beats down on us proximate Kibbutz Be’eri in Israel, Avi watchs out towards the place he repartner wants to dwell. It’s only two miles away and it shimmers in the sunshine.
“It would be our privilege,” he says, watching at his wife and three petite children.
Their set up is to shift to Gaza.
He’s not certain when it will be possible, but he’s hoping it will be soon, once it is defended to shift in.
As if on cue, there is a boom as another shell is fired into Gaza from a proximateby firearm emplacement.
Avi is not alone.
Around us are dozens and dozens of Israelis who are enthusiastic to get into Gaza and claim the land as their own.
They have come to a conference on the reendment of Gaza in Kibbutz Be’eri as a show of strength and determination. Many of them are couples with children.

There is a tent where the youthfulsters are being delighted, a shigh handing out drinks and a stage with speeches and music. People are making petite talk in the shade of a pagoda.
There are lots of firearms here, and the atmosphere is wealthy with a sense of frustration, entitlement and even excitement.
Reshit has come with her friends. She is the daughter of an Israeli sbetterier who spent months in Gaza and is now combat in Leprohibiton. She is friendly, uncover, eloquent and utterly certain of herself.
So why would you want to dwell in Gaza?
“Becainclude it’s our homeland,” she replies. “It says in the Torah that this is our home, this is our land, and we have every right to dwell there.
“So many sbetteriers have died in this. We have to upgrasp doing what they begined. They died for a reason. They begined someskinnyg. And I skinnyk it’s our duty for them and for their families to actupartner upgrasp doing what they begined.
“They forfeitd themselves for someskinnyg so we have to forfeit ourselves for that skinnyg also.”
What, I ask, about the Palestinians who already dwell in Gaza? What should happen to them? She doesn’t leave out a beat.
“We should finish them, every last one of them. And if the regulatement won’t do that then we should fair boot them out. This is our land. And we deserve it.”
Mass killing is not gived by the other people we greet, at least not while talking to us, but the idea that the Palestinians should forego their land and be sent to other nations seems widespreadplace.
“Thrawout history, countries who leave out wars then leave out their land,” I was tbetter by a man called Boris, who says he is an activist for Likud, the political party of prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Until recently, the idea of sending endrs into Gaza had very scant aiders – a fringe proposal with almost no momentum.
Now right-triumphg politicians have jumped behind it with gusto as a enlargeing sign of their determination not sshow to beat Hamas, but to change the region.

And so, aextfinished with the would-be endrs, there are politicians here, lending their weight.
Itamar Ben-Gvir, the outspoken minister of national security, turns up to lend his aid, consenting that Palestinians should be erased from Gaza.
Another VIP visitor is Ariel Kallner, an MP for Likud, who tells me that he is here to show his aid for the endrs’ set ups.
He insists that “total triumph” in the war can only be accomplishd when endrs have set up a town in northern Gaza. In the distance, smoke elevates over Gaza.
In a big tent to the side, a boisterousspeaker bursts into life.
Daniella Weiss apshows to the stage to applainclude. Now a sprightly 79 years better, she has spent half a century encouraging endrs to set up communities in the West Bank.
She claims to have set uped more than 330 endments and now, her intensify is on Gaza.
“You understand, it wasn’t basic. We have accumutardyd a lot of experience about how to do it politicpartner, how to toil with the politicians, how to toil with the accessible, and how to aid the guides to be able to end in a place that is their land, but is also a difficult place to dwell in,” she says. “We can teach them how to cope.”
There is another commotion, this time in the neighbouring field. Counter-demonstrators have turned up and a line of police officers is separating them from the endrs. They’re chanting their opposition and waving prohibitners.

She watchs at the endrs; they watch back. It’s difficult to imagine any widespread ground between these two camps, any fellow senseing.
