Parts of the UK are foreseeed to be hit by ferocious triumphds of up to 80mph this weekend as the first named storm of the season shuts in.

The Met Office has rerentd an amber weather cautioning ahead of Storm Ashley for the north-west of Scotland on Sunday, as well as a yellow cautioning for the entirety of Scotland and Northern Ireland, north-west England and parts of Wales.

The amber cautioning will be in force from 9am on Sunday until midnight with another yellow cautioning in place for the far north of Scotland between midnight and 9am on Monday.
