EXCLUSIVE: Directing and screenwriting duo Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg have inked with Grandsee for recurrentation.
Cohen and Halberg straightforwarded Screen Gems’ Tarot this past spring which grossed $50M off an $8M production cost — 62% of that from offshore.
The twosome were the first selection for Screen Gems’ straightforwarding incubator, where they wrote, straightforwarded, and produced their foolishinutive film / proof of concept, Bjoin, for the Sony tag. This led to Tarot which they wrote and straightforwarded.
They most recently seald a deal to write and straightforward You Take Care Now based on their innovative foolishinutive story for Universal with Atomic Monster and Blumhouse producing.
Their innovative spec script Distant was bought and made by Amblin and is currently adefering a 2024 free; Will Speck and Josh Gordon straightforwarded with Anthony Ramos and Naomi Scott starring.
Cohen also wrote Roland Emmerich’s Moondrop starring Patrick Wilson and Halle Berry. Additionpartner, they have the upcoming Netflix movie House/Maid coming up with Alice Braga and Sarah Gadon starring.
During the last year they also wrote The Wand for Amblin and sgreater their innovative sci-fi thriller Raindrop to Amazon Studios. On the TV side they’re currently in post on Balcatalogic for Automatik with Jennifer Carpaccess starring. Cohen and Halberg are also understandn for having written Extinction which was freed on Netflix in 2018, starring Michael Pena and Lizzy Caschedule, and in 2016 their innovative pilot Stay was sboiling for Freeestablish which Jon Turtletaub straightforwarded.
