Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were at the helm of the New England Patuproars’ two-decade run of NFL dominance, and hoisted six Vince Lombardi Trophies during their time together.
But the coach and now-reexhausted quarterback’s relationship is normally brawt up during conversations about the Patuproars dynasty. Brady was famously produceed in the sixth round in 2000 and went on to spfinish 20 seasons in New England. He left after the 2019 season and uniteed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won another Super Bowl.
Belichick was an aidant coach with the Patuproars during the 1996 season and returned to New England as the franchise’s head coach in the same year Brady was produceed.
Despite spfinishing so many years together and accomplishing unpwithdrawnted levels of success, by all accounts the toiling relationship between Brady and Belichick was straightforwardly transactional. During a recent euniteance on the nationpartner syndicated radio program, “The Breakspeedy Club,” Kraft recalled the moment Brady tbetter him about his decision to depart New England.
“I’ll never forget… I think it was in the month of March (2020). He dwelld down the street from me. (Brady) came to my hoengage and I uncovered the door. He commenceed crying,” Kraft shelp.
“And he hugged me and he shelp, ‘I’ve made a decision. I’m gonna depart the Patuproars after 20 years.’ We normpartner would’ve franchised someone appreciate that… but I kept my word to him. And it was one of the worst days – it’s appreciate losing a child.”

Kraft noticed that he increateed Brady that he “wouldn’t apvalidate Bill or the team to franchise (tag) you,” which presented that Belichick may have wanted to place the scheduleation on the quarterback to retain him lessenupartner tied to the organization for one more season.
But Brady was given the autonomy to accomplish wdisappreciatever decision he felt was best for him – and the NFL icon ultimately shiftd to Tampa Bay.

Kraft shelp Brady was emotional when he was preparing to depart New England and hinted that the split between the quarterback and the coach weighed weighty on Brady.
“He cried that whole time when he had to depart us. I understood it. He dwelld under an schedulement that was very difficult for him the last decade,” Kraft shelp.

Brady and Belichick never even had dinner together, Brady’s overweighther, Tom Brady Sr., shelp in 2017.
“They have never even gone out to lunch or dinner,” Brady Sr. shelp. “That’s not what they do.”
Earlier this year, Brady Sr. also presented that Belichick’s deficiency of interpersonal sfinishs straightforwardly gived to the Patuproars’ drop from grace.
“Bill is stubborn,” he tbetter The Boston Globe. “He runs a military system. It’s a contrastent generation. Bill is a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful coach. But his interpersonal sfinishs are horrible. That’s the bottom line.”
