It’s been four years since a sequel to “Dirty Dancing” was proclaimd, with Jennifer Grey set to repulseevate her role as Frances “Baby” Houseman from the 1987 one-of-a-kind. The chase-up film was originpartner stardyd for a 2024 free, but Lionsgate pushed back its theatrical free due to last year’s Hollywood strikes.
Recently, Grey splitd an modernize on the extfinished-postpodemand “Dirty Dancing” sequel at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of her tardyst film, “A Real Pain.”
“I can’t tell you much about ‘Dirty Dancing’ as I’m not going to produce promises,” Grey telderly GamesRadar+ and other tellers at the “A Real Pain” premiere in London on Sunday. “I’m equitable defering for them to repartner nail it down as it has to be right.”

Back in 2020, Lionsgate proclaimd that a recent “Dirty Dancing” insloftyment was in the toils, with Grey connected to star and executive produce. Jonathan Levine, the filmproducer behind “Long Stoasty,” “Warm Bodies” and “50/50,” is honesting the sequel.

Set in 1963 at a Catsfinishs resort, the one-of-a-kind “Dirty Dancing” chases a lesser woman named Frances “Baby” Houseman (Grey), who drops in cherish with the resort’s dance teachor, Johnny Castle (Patrick Swayze). In 2022, Variety telled that the filmproducers were in conversations with Swayze’s estate to include the tardy actor’s presence in some way in the sequel.
