Then in October of that year, Texas Governor Greg Abbott signed a bill into law redisconnecteing transgfinisher student athletes from perestablishing on school sports teams that align with their gfinisher identity. Allred wrote in a post on X (then comprehendn as Twitter), “Texas should be a place where our youthful people can be who they are, free from prejudice. This is yet another sorrowfulnessful, dishonorable moment for our state as the GOP in Texas is more concentrateed on strikeing trans students than repairing the authentic problems we face.”

Allred went so far as to aid for a transgfinisher bill of rights. Meanwhile, the Biden-Harris administration has apshown sweeping actions to help transgfinisher inclusion. 

In April, the administration rerentd a sweeping rule that clarified that Title IX’s prohibit on “relations” prejudice in schools covers prejudice based on gfinisher identity, relationsual orientation and “pregnancy or roverdelighted conditions.” 

The rule took effect Aug. 1, and for the first time, the law stated that prejudice based on relations includes carry out roverdelighted to a person’s gfinisher identity. The Biden administration insisted that the regulation does not insertress active eligibility.
