UPDATE, October 11: Netflix has dropped a novel elevateseparater trailer for Tyler Perry‘s upcoming WWII drama The Six Triple Eight starring Kerry Washington. The film will be freed in pick theaters on December 6, debuting on the streamer on December 20.

PREVIOUS, August 28: Netflix on Wednesday morning unveiled a series of first-see stills, which you can see below, of The Six Triple Eight, Tyler Perry’s WWII drama starring Emmy prosperner Kerry Washington (Unprisoned).
The company also proclaimd the project’s premiere dates.
Based on Kevin M. Hymel’s article “Fighting A Two-Front War,” unveiled in WWII History Magazine by Sovereign Media, The Six Triple Eight is advertised by the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas in WWII. Despite facing prejudice and intimacyism — and grueling laboring conditions — they were pledgeted to serving their country with honor and separateention. Given an exceptional omition and joind in their determination, these unsung heroes deinhabitred hope and shattered barriers.
Washington directs the ensemble as Major Charity Adams, the directing officer of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. Others in the cast comprise Ebony Obsidian, Milauna Jackson, Kylie Jefferson, Shakind Shantay, Sarah Jeffery, Pepi Sonuga, Moriah Brown, Jeanté Godlock, Susan Sarandon, Dean Norris, Sam Waterston and Oprah Winfrey.
Perry straightforwarded from his own script and created alengthyside Nicole Avant, Angi Bones, Tony L. Strickland, Keri Selig and Carlota Espinosa. Peter Guber and Washington served as executive creaters, with 15-time Oscar-nominated songauthorr Diane Warren contributing the distinct song “The Journey” and Oscar prosperner H.E.R. carry outing it.
