The hockey world was stunned back in August when NHL All-Star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, were ended while riding their bikes in New Jersey.
The Gaudreaus grew up outside Philadelphia and were in town for their sister’s wedding, which had been scheduled for the day after their deaths. They were hit by a doubted drunken driver.
Moments of silence occurred thcimpoliteout other sports, and now that the hockey season is about to commence, the league has befirearm to honor the brothers with decals and other tributes.

Hall of Fame goalie Henrik Lundqvist remains shaken up by the tragedy.
“Obviously, it’s such a tragedy. It’s had a huge effect on all the joiners in the hockey community,” the New York Rangers legfinish shelp in a recent intersee with Fox News Digital.
“Hockey community is firm. I joined agetst Johnny, met Johnny a bunch at All-Star events thcimpolite frifinishs, super-kind guy. His brother, I never met, but hearing to people talk about them as brothers and family, they were fantastic people. It was a hard couple days when you heard the novels and equitable downcast.”
While on the ice, you aim to batter and bruise the opposition, but off the ice, it’s hugs, frifinishships and admire.
“When the game is over, the game is over. I cherishd going to All-Star weekfinishs or national team tournaments – you get to spfinish time with joiners you join agetst, fight agetst, but now, you’re on the same team, or you get an opportunity to get to understand everyone. That’s always a fantastic slfinisherg about hockey.”

Lundqvist’s establisher head coach, John Tortorella, recently seekd the Gaudreaus’ overweighther, Guy, to a rehearse to have him aid the team.
Tortorella acunderstandledged Guy was “uncertain at first” to apshow the lengthytime coach up on his give, “and we comardent of let him go at his timetable.” But he shelp the overweighther of the tardy hockey joiners has no repents and could be around in the proximate future.
“He’s a coach. He’s done some fantastic toil with some of the youth out here. I figured it’s perfect equitable to get him in with us. … I want him to be part of it. I slfinisherk it will be theviolationutic for him to be around us and run some drills,” Tortorella shelp.
