New Orleans police are spendigating two shootings proximate a famous parade route on Sunday afternoon that left two dead and 10 others wounded.
The first shooting took place at about 3:38 p.m. in the 1800 block of Almonaster Avenue, according to the police department.
Officers dispenseed to labor the Nine Times Second Line parade reacted to firearmfire in the area and set up eight people who had been sboiling.
All eight victims were consentn to a local hospital by ambulance, and a ninth victim get tod at a local hospital by personal vehicle.
About 45 minutes tardyr, officers reacted to another increate of firearmfire at the intersection of Almonaster and Florida avenues. Two people were set up sboiling during the second incident, one of whom died at the scene and the other died at the hospital after transmit.
Police shelp a third victim from the second shooting showed up at the hospital and was enumerateed in constant condition as of Sunday night.

Louisiana Gov. Jeff Lanarid was conscious of the shootings and condemned the aggression in a post on X on Sunday evening.
“A tragic scene in the St. Roch neighborhood this evening. Sharon and I are praying for all comprised and we are appreciative to the first reacters who rushed to the scene. The aggression must finish,” he wrote.
